hi i was wondering if someone can help me.
i bought a lenovo z 50-70 this week. and it has the Realtek RTL8723BE Wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC. when i check with a command in the cmd, it says that it is a b/g/n adapter. when i check the nearby networks i cant see my 5ghz network on this laptop, but i can see it on other devices that supports 5ghz networks. i can only see the 2.4 ghz on this laptop(note: dual band router). so is there something wrong with the laptop?. shoud i ask them to change it?.or the adapter doesnt support 5ghz networks. thankyou :)

a tplink (not sure about the model)router and a netgear wn2500rp repeater

That's a dual band N600 repeater. I assume your laptop connects to the repeater rather than the router.

In that case you can just get a Netgear dual band N600/N900 adapter.

No point getting the AC adapter when your network is just on the N standard.
