Hey, so I formatted my pc after a long time (years) and I didn't have my cd with the drivers for the motherboard. My motherboard is asus p6t se. I searched it, found the site and the drivers and there is a rom file in the bios section that I tried to install using the asus update but It doesn't install it. Also I tried updating it from the internet (in the asus update) and it doesn't work. Finally in the check bios information (again is the asus update) it shows another model (not the one I have) . Should I try installing it differently? I have tried a lot of things but nothing seems to work . Is there something I did wrong? What is the best way to solve this problem? my sound doesn't work either but I guess it's because the motherboard drivers aren't installed. I hope I provided enough information and thanks in advance.

Solution
All of the drivers are here http://www.asus.com/nz/Motherboards/P6T_SE/HelpDesk_Download/

Install the chipset drivers first. The LAN then the Audio drivers

Use ez flash in the BIOS if you want to update the BIOS

So I should install the chipset and then all the other drivers? Yes I tried with the ez flash but I couldn't locate the file even though I put it in the c directory

If you want to if its win7 or 8 the only thing I installed were the chipset and updated the sata drivers. The LAN and sound Windows installed them. Theyre good enough for me

Did you extract the BIOS from the zipped file? Put it on a flash drive if you've got one
