I recently built a PC for a friend of mine it works great besides one issue. When you leave it off for long periods of time say an hour it will turn on but will not post. I found if you unplug the psu from the wall and flick the switch on the back a couple of times it will start. I don't know what's casuing this RAM? Motherboard? I don't know I tried replacing the cmos battery with no luck.

If you turn or restart the PC within and our it will turn on no problem.

I also removed the graphics card and it turned on instantly.

I'm really lost I don't know what I should do like I said I build this for a friend and its currently at his house.

Specs: i5 3570k, asus p8z77-v lk, 8gb of 1600mhz Adata ram, Evga power supply. MSI 760.

If you have any ideas please let me know!

make sure the mb bios is up to date to rule out a bios bug. error like that are cap or voltage issue with the power supply. if the mb sees a dead short it wont turn on or if the power good line is too low the mb wont turn on. what sixe is the power supply.

Okay when I get a chance to look at the system I will check to see if the bios is up to date, if it isn't I will update it. The power supply is a 600watt Evga. Do you think that the PSU could be the issue?
