Hi! So this is the deal, i'm going to upgrade my lenovo y510p drive, it has a 1tb 5400 rpm and a 8gb ssd, i want to remove the 1tb drive and the 8gb ssd, and install a samsuing evo 500gb ssd, so anyway can i re-use my windows 8 disc but use a different key? Or do i have to buy a whole other disc with a key? Cause i know you can buy the keys online. Thanks Max

I recommend NOT changing from the Windows that is already on there. Otherwise there's a fair chance you won't find drivers for the new Windows for that laptop.

You can use your disc with different keys. Check with Microsoft though.

Sorry i guess i forgot something, the windows 8 disc was used on my desktop machine i built not the laptop, thanks
