What are the differences about Western Digital 1TB Caviar Blue/Red/Green, I want the best one.

Green: power saving ("green" as in environment friendly), also a bit slower
Blue: mainstream
Red: optimized for NAS server use

Blue: everyday use
Green: cool, quiet
Black: high performance
Red: for raid environments

Green is for backup, slow, and power saving

Blue regular desktop use, not as fast as a black, for regular desktop use.
Red is for raid only, as error correction is not the same as a desktop.
RAID dose it's own error correction

If you want the fastest WD, it is a 10000 RPM Raptor

For a boot disk, green wouldn't offer good performance. As the other poster noted, there is a "black" line which offers the highest performance but may cost a bit more. Generally Blue is pretty good.

Especially if you are using an SSD in your system for the OS, the blue is more than enough for standard storage. No need for a black in this case, imo.

I'm not using an SSD, but i'm think on a HD for storage/gaming. I already have 1TB but it's not enough for me.

You won't notice much of a difference in performance in gaming between a blue/black. Minimal. If you are a computer enthusiast who wants top performance and have the money to spend, black is the way to go, but if you are on a budget, the blue is fast enough for the job.

I'll take the blue then. One more question difference about SATA 2.5 and 3.5. And I will need to buy one more SATA cable and I have 2 options:

SATA InLine Red
SATA 3.0 6Gb/s Akasa Proslim Blue

Which one should I take?

You don't need a SATA 3 cable for that; a HDD isn't fast enough to need more than a standard SATA port or cable. The basic red one will do.

So I will need only to plug the SATA cables and then ready to go? Do I need do change anything in BIOS settings? Or it's just like plug & play?

No BIOS settings, just plug it in and it should work
