The GPU is capable of handling more than what the CPU can handle. There will be a relatively small bottleneck on the CPU side. Keep in mind we're talking about a low-end dual-core Pentium processor. Some of the games you mentioned recommend using a decent quad core CPU (i5, for instance).
The GPU isn't way too powerful for the CPU, but remember to upgrade that CPU to something better as soon as you can. The dual core era has long been over.
