Basically i spilled some water onto my laptop keyboard, and now some of the keys are broken and press multiple things at the same time. For example, pressing 'r' types out 'grf' and 'u' types out 'huj'. A lot of the keys are like that so it kind of makes it impossible to type anything or use the laptop. Is there any way to fix this, or is the damage permanent?

For reference my laptop is a lenovo ideapad y500, and it's not under warranty anymore. Just looking for any suggestions or what my options are. Thanks!

for now plug in a full size keyboard and mouse and by pass the broken keyboard. the replacment unit is 40.00 online and takes about 15 min to replace.

on the bottom of the laptop there be a set number of keyboard screws when removed the keyboard will pop up. with no power on the laptop lift the keyboard up slowly and unclip it from the laptop system board. then clip the new unit in and then test the new keyboard to see if it works if it does your all set to screw the keyboard back down;

Interestingly thats not the same keyboard that my laptop has. this is the newegg page that i had bought it from http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834312438
The damage is most likely permanent right? And is replacing the keyboard that simple?
