Upgrading from HD 7870 to ?

i3-4360 dual core
XFX Radeon HD 7870
Patriot 8gb 1866mhz
Gigabyte z97 SLI
750watt psu corsair
CM tx3 cpu fan

I was thinking about gtx 760-770 or 280-290. I play GW2 mainly and league when i feelin trolly. Budget is 270 or less. No msi please because i see a lot of bad reviews on them.

Why a z97 mainboard if you cant overclock your cpu? And why a 750w psu if 400-450w are enough?
R9 290 is nice, but way to much for your cpu. The r9 270x would be fine in your system. Maybe r9 280.
Since the prices are falling, you also can consider getting the gtx 770 (better take 4gb vram there) but with any higher/better gpu it'll be bottlenecked by your cpu

I was thinking the same my friend :( There's a 290 on sale for 270 +tax on amazon but i'm iffy on it since it's MSI. Any other brands you had in mind?

z97 cuz it was on sale for 100 and psu was 50 so i just said ok to it. Will plan on upgrading cpu in the near future. I'll take a look at the 770 and 280 thanks!
