Hey guys,

I am about to buy a motherboard from someone second hand, namely the MSI XPower Z87 motherboard. However, he has received it as a gift and doens't have a receipt. Therefore, I wondered if this is a problem for my warranty.
I understand if the warranty is less than usual because it would be based on serial number, which is based on the date the motherboard was sent to the vendor. But do I still have thát warranty without a receipt?
Also, if I try to register a product on the MSI website, I need a proof of purchase to be able to do so (I have just done so with my new graphics card).
I have tried to find an answer to this, but most topics about this are at least a year old. Anyone who can help me here? It would be really appreciated!

Best regards, Tom
