Long time reader first time poster. I built my computer about five months ago and everything was going perfect my specs are

Windows 7
i5 4690k
8 gigs of ram
gtx 760
750W

I can play any game in ultra settings with 60+ fps
but now I'm having a problem with random shutdowns, any game I play will just shutdown after playing for a bit even not demanding games like CS:GO. I have no idea what is going On I run GPU-z and real temp while playing bf4 on ultra and saw that my cpu usage was at 90% my gpu was at 69c and my power consumption was 75% I think 90% is a little much and I'm running my antivires to make sure theres nothing affecting my computer but my other theory is that I have a faulty psu and will need to buy another one someone please help thats the last thing I want to do because I paid 100 bucks for it and its not that old

It's okay, I can unselect it :D
Those temps seem pretty low while playing if you don't have an exotic cooling solution. Are you sure those temps aren't idle? Check your BIOSes temps are compare with those.

Alright so temperatures seem fine. It may very well be a faulty PSU. What is the model and make of the PSU? If it is a quality one, it so happens that high quality PSUs fail from time to time.

750W is actually plenty for your system (it has a couple hundred watts of headroom). You were just unlucky and got a bad unit it seems. Go with a better power supply company, XFX, Seasonic, EVGA, Antec etc.

ok I'll try that I'm a little mad by this but I figured that this psu wasn't going to last from the first day I started my pc because I have to start it by holding the power button and not just pushing it..it came with a newegg deal so not that shocked I guess

Just so we have a clear description of the term Shutdowns

The entire PC just Turns Off immediately?
The PC shuts down like you pressed the power button and every closes then turns off?
The Game exits to desktop?
Are any errors displayed?

With your Temps in range its seems to be pointing to PSU or a Power management system.

it just completely shutsdown like turns off immediately and I can turn it on and and be able to do anything i want without problems except gaming...its been doing this a lot lately now since I got this new Steelseries apex keyboard...and now I'm having problems with the keyboard randomly shutting off I'm getting this message Power Surge On Hub Port: A USB device has exceeded the power limits of its hub port...I have my phone hooked up to it so that could maybe be doing it..but why have 2 usbs in this keyboard if it cant charge a phone

The PSU definitely seems to be the problem here. I'd recommend getting a new PSU as soon as you can to not risk the PSU damaging any other components. It's not providing a clean stable power delivery which is causing the shutdowns when your system is under a heavy load than just browsing/videos etc.

The error means that the USB port isn't providing enough power to your keyboard, try another port to see if it fixes the problem.
