Hello,

I plan on running 12 fans in my caselabs case and I want to be able to control it all through fan xpert 3. I will be using the x99-e ws motherboard and modmytoys 5 way pcb splitters. The fans I will be using are all corsair af140 quiet edition fans. I plan 4 fans per pcb and have each pcb on different headers.

1. Will this be too much power draw on each header?
2. Will fan xpert 3 work with these pcb's?

Thanks!
Any help is appreciated!

Definitely a max of 1 Amp on each header. If it was six fan headers having a total maximum current draw of 1 Amp that would make a lot of fans unusable.

The manual states "The CPU_FAN connector supports the CPU fan of maximum 1A (12W) fan power.". They are talking about one fan header/connector.

1 Amp on each? I had read the manual for the motherboard and it only mentioned 1 amp on the cpu fan header. So if this is confirmed then I will not worry. :)
