I am not sure if anyone is paying attention to this post anymore but I updated it with a cheaper build. I would like critique and Pros and Cons between the two please. Besides the obvious price difference.

I wouldn't go with AMD if you are gaming. Also, that PSU isn't high quality.

The CX series are budget PSU's. They aren't worth buying for a high-end build, certainly not when you can get an EVGA G2 for the same amount of money or for a little more.

Definitely MSI. EVGA screwed up big time with the Maxwell architecture based video cards(900 series). Lots of EVGA GTX 970 ACX 2.0 models came with miss aligned heatpipes on the PCB and chipset, so instead of 3 heatpipes making contact with the chip only 2 of the heatpipes are alligned. This will cause you serious heat issues in the future.

Also regarding your question about the builds I'd go with the AMD one if you're gonna use video editing software like Premier Pro/Sony Vegas etc or even Photoshop. The 8 core FX-8350 and GTX 770 make a good combo for video editing PC's. You'd need to upgrade RAM to 2x8GB(16GB) to minimize latency because insufficient memory allocation resources. And follow the advice of frag06 about the CX power supplies. The're cheaply made and their capacitors are known to melt under high loads. I changed my CX500 with a Seasonic just in time, before it went bad and destroyed my precious components ;)

What if I am not going to edit? Just purely gaming? I may edit down the road but not decided yet.

The EVGA ACX coolers were the ones with the misaligned heatsinks. The ACX 2.0 use a different passively cooled design.

The 970s are pretty cool cards to begin with, so you don't need to worry about a heat issue no matter version you pick.

I would go with the second build. Excellent for gaming and quite good for video editing in the long run if you upgrade our RAM to 16GB(helps a lot). ;)
