Hello,

So I ordered a setup off of Cyberpower PC. When it first arrived, they shipped it with bad RAM and I had to send it back, leaving me without a PC for over a month. Now, I've received the PC back and it will lock completely up within 10-45 minutes of playing a PC game runing CryEngine 3 - Archeage. The CPU shipped overclock to 4.7ghz and I've tried turning the clock speed down but admittedly I don't know as much about the BIOS and tuning clock speeds as I'd like to. I've played "The Vanishing of Ethan Carter" which is another nice looking game with no issues and zero lockups. The more I play with the voltage settings and clock speed in the BIOS the more frequent the freezing and lock ups happen. Any and all help would be appreciated. I REALLY don't want to give this PC back to Cyberpower, as they take half a century to get the PC back to me.

Specs:
CPU: AMD FX-9590
- DP Limit 219.8 Watts
Core Speed 4720.8 MHz
Multiplier x Bus Speed 23.5 x 200.9 MHz
Rated Bus speed 2611.5 MHz
Stock frequency 4700 MHz
GPU: AMD Radeon R9 200 series 3gbvram
RAM: 16gb Ripjaw DDR3 /1866MHz Dual Channel Memory
PSU: 600 Watts - Standard 80 Plus Certified Power Supply
Cooling: Asetek 550LC 120mm Liquid Cooling CPU Cooler - Extreme Cooling Performance
Motherboard: GIGABYTE 990FXA-UD3 AMD 990 ATX

Let me know if you guys have any advice. It would all be appreciated. I am really thinking it has something to do with the CPU stability.

Thanks in advance. Help a poor soul out. :/

Solution
Thats a very power hungry cpu and its only partially supported on that motherboard. The quality of your power supply could also have something to do with it.

Ouch. This is a prebuild PC. Could Cyberpower really be shipping out prebuilts with faulty PSUs? Thats shady. Anyways, is there any tweaking I can do to stabilize this setup? Thanks.

Okay, I will do that right away. Do you recommend any tweaks to the voltage or clock speed? Should I turn it back down to 4.4ghz and turn off turbo core? or keep it at the 4.7ghz. Also, where in the bios would I locate tubro core? Thank you!

In my shipping information it just lists a generic name. " 600 Watts - Standard 80 Plus Certified Power Supply".

Honestly that worries me a bit. I spent some good money on this setup and im regretting it slightly now due to all the issues im having.

Reporting back, just ran about 45 minutes of Archeage without any crashes. That looks cool. Still, any other tips for pure stabilization? This machine runs quiet and cool. Im just worried about the voltage.
