I am in a room where I am not by a router so I was looking at a Powerline Ethernet switch. What are the best brands?

I also see that many of these adapters only have one Ethernet adapter can I use a switch to get internet off one powerline adapter? What switches would be good?

thank-you!

It will work. Their likely is some limitation on how many devices you can hook behind one powerline but it is likely over 100 maybe even 1000.

The powerline device you are looking at are likely faster than your internet connection so you will run out of internet speed before you put too much on the powerline.

The SmallNetBuilder website has a PowerLineNetworking ranker to help you compare throughput.
They also have a lot of product reviews of powerline networking hardware.

There is not a lot of difference between the small 5 port or 8 port switches. You decide if you want gig speed or not and the low cost ones are almost exactly the same. You can get more expensive managed switches but you do not need any of the features these have.

I was considering getting this off of amazon.

http://www.amazon.com/TP-LINK-TL-PA4010KIT-Powerline-Adapter-Starter/dp/B00AWRUICG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1413874994&sr=8-1&keywords=powerline+networking+adapter

And this for a switch

I don't want to sound crazy ,but what I meant to say is it possible to run internet through one powerline adapter and have that one powerline adapter shared through a switch by two devices. Sorry to repeat myself so many times.
