Hi everyone!

This rather long post is actually just a simple question: Do you see more upgrades I can make in 2014?!

First, I am a gamer that likes his games pretty :p Everything maxed out as much as possible. I built this PC back in 2009 from scratch and made a few upgrades along the way, the last major one being the GPU in 2011 if I remember correctly. So here it is:

CASE: Cooler Master HAF 922 with 3x200mm blue LED fans and 1x120mm fans
Motherboard: ASUS P7P55D - LGA1156 with P55 Chipset... No USB 3.0, No SATA 3.0 :(
CPU: Intel Core i5 750 Quad Core Processor Lynnfield LGA1156 2.66Ghz 8MB Cache OC @ 3.7Ghz
CPU cooling solution: Corsair H80 with 2x(can't remember the model) fans in push/pull
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws X 8GB 2X4GB DDR3-1600 CL9-9-9-24 Memory
Power supply: Seasonic 660W 80+Platinum fully modular
GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 560 Ti Hawk OC 950MHZ 1GB GDDR5 DX11 PCI-E Video Card
SSD: Crucial M4 SSD Micron C400 64GB 2.5IN Solid State Disk Flash Drive SATA3 6Gbps
HDD: Western Digital Caviar Blue 320GB SATA2 7200RPM 8MB 3.5IN Hard Drive OEM
Soundcard: Creative Sound Blaster X-FI Titanium FATAL1TY Champion PCI-E 1X 24BIT Sound Card 7.1 Optical

External HDD: Western Digital WD My Passport Essential SE 1TB USB ULTRA-PORTABLE USB 3.0
Screen: LG Flatron W2253V 22inch - Full HD Display 1920 x 1080p
Speakers: Logitech Z506 5.1 Surround Speaker System 75W RMS
Keyboard: Logitech G11 (OLD and in bad shape... to be replaced soon maybe by a Razer one... haven't decided yet)
Mouse: Logitech MX500 (old but still in very good shape)
Mousepad: Razer Vespula

Now, the first obvious upgrades I will officially make are:

1) My case, I already ordered the HAF XM (for next gen features and the looks of it :p)
2) My GPU, I will most likely buy this one (if it can be available someday!):
GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 970 4GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready G-SYNC Support Video Card - http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125684&AID=10657534&PID=1886881&nm_mc=AFC-C8JunctionCA&cm_mmc=AFC-C8JunctionCA-_-na-_-na-_-na
3) A cheap USB 3.0 Card to plug my HAF XM's USB 3.0 front ports (I bought this one: Silverstone PCI Express Card with USB 3.0 Internal Connector Model SST-EC01-P)

Finally, next year, I plan to upgrade my CPU/Motherboard/RAM trio with the newest intel Skylake processor and DDR4 RAM!

So there you have it! :) Comment as you wish, I just wanna know if there is anymore I can do this year (without going full on 4K 3D gaming! Not ready for that yet ;) )

Thanks!

I wouldn't worry so much about USB 3.0, there is already 2 replacements for it with Lightning connect and USB 3.1 Type C. If what you got works for you then push it out and save your Cash. 4k gaming, there really isn't a large amount of titles that support it yet I don't see it worth the money building a system now for it. 1080 is the prime focus at the moment and it can be punishing depending on the Title.
