Hello, I'm about to upgrade my pc and would like some opinions. The build I have now is my first and it's great for running games, but that isn't what I want to use it for. I had built the pc for $560 and didn't no much about components at the time, now I realized that I built a pc for gaming when I would like to have a computer that can handle multiple tasks. I want to be able to play a game once in a while, editing videos in after effects, draw in Photoshop and Illustrator, and work with models in Cinema 4D. I DO NOT OVERCLOCK. I was told that OC will shorten your components lifespan and I need this build to last me at least 2-3 years.

Currently my build has the following problems. The moba gets to hot after an hour. Startup is very slow despite not having any programs installed. Gpu is blocking some of my driver bays and the case is nice but I may need more room and better cooling. My budget is around $500 again, Below I'll post some of the upgrades I came up with, I prefer less then $500 but it doesn't matter as long as it's in that range. Thanks for the help! :)

Solution
Change the mb to
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-motherboard-ga970aud3p
Add an SSD as a boot drive
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/samsung-internal-hard-drive-mz7pd128bw
A cpu cooler
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/scythe-cpu-cooler-scmg4000

$213.86

Adding a couple of extra fans to the case if there are spaces would help too

Overclocking can shorten the life of a processor . The key is keeping from getting too hot and then it will last [ much longer than the two more years you plan to use this ]

If you use AMD's CPU overdrive it automatically stress tests and makes sure you do not overheat . All will be good
