Meh, as I said, slightly off-topic, but should still be close enough.

You can always try Open Broadcaster Software (OBS in short). It's pretty much similar to what both Nvidia Shadowplay and AMD GVR do, and has the chance to run on the GPU as well. It's not optimized for an hardware or another, so mileage may vary, but it's worth a shot anyway.

Shadowplay should (supposedly) work with any Nvidia GPU over or in the 600 series, be they discrete, embedded or mobile.

The real question is how will it fare. It is a GPU accelerated software recording, after all, so lower-end cards might get a slight performance hit if used to record high quality videos.

Yes.

To be completely accurate, there are either discrete or embedded GPUs. I'd rather call the laptop ones as "mobile" because of them being still embedded on the main board while being a completely separated module from the CPU/APU.

[strike]Umm, he has a 740m...[/strike]

Nevertheless, if this page is updated, Shadowplay is supported by GeForce GTX 900(m), 800m, 700(m), 600 and some of the 600m series, although it doesn't state which ones exactly.
Besides, If it works badly, you can always try OBS :p

EDIT: misread the GPU model. I'll leave the rest for reference, but velo's right.

I can confirm that there is a way to enable Shadowplay on Laptops.
Make sure you have a shorcut of GeForce Experience on Desktop -> right click -> Properties -> now add this after the Target line "-shadowplay" without the quotes. It should look like this "C:\Program Files (x86)\NVIDIA Corporation\NVIDIA GeForce Experience\GFExperience.exe" -shadowplay
Now open it, give it a few moments, Shadowplay will automatically pop up, flip the switch and enjoy :).
Remember not to close it, as it does not minimize to system tray.
Update: I actually own a laptop with a 750m on her, so I can testify that it does work.

He has a gt 740m not a gtx 740m.

Editing my previous post. Guess I misread, sorry about that...

I suppose either what Theseus said or OBS could do the trick, but since the former isn't enabled by default and the latter is slightly off-topic, mileage may vary, I guess...

Oh damn. Becuase I heard Shadowplay is a good recording software and I thought it would work well.. better than fraps and Bandicam for sure and it is free.. Too good to be true I guess. :/ Thanks for the help guys! :)
TheseusSapphire, i will try that out once mate! Thanks for the help!:D
