Let me explain..
Before i run any game , lets say diablo 3 or watch dogs or tomb raider...before i run any game my fps in afterburner or furmark runs about 107 fps ..this is crossfire setup 2x 7950 hd radeon.
So when i run a game with or without afterburner(I used afterburner just to see my cards temp, and those temps never got above 80 and few times near 85 but not above) the games run fine but after awhile and this differs a lot , sometimes hours others min..the game starts lag..and when i exit the game and check my fps in afterburner or furmark its dropped by half..67 or below 60 and wont go up to 107 again....only after i reset crossfire in ccc..meaning when i turn it off and back on again does my fps in afterburner or furmark go back to 107 fps..

My drivers are up to date i have no dust in my rig..i can't see that it should be an overheating problem as they don't get that warm..my power options are also set to performance...

Let me summarize..my fps locks to below 60ish after i play and exit any game and only restarting pc or turning crossfire off and back on does my fps go back to normal...

Any help, advice in detail would be most helpful as i have searched the net for this problem and can't find anything.

Is this a recent issue with the current Catalyst 14.9 driver or has it been happening over the course of multiple drivers as this sounds almost like Crossfire is being disabled in the driver over the course of time (software bug?). Although disabling and testing framerates against your worst would confirm this or not.

"before i run any game my fps in afterburner or furmark runs about 107 fps " - any game? Watch Dogs, BF4?

What CPU you got? What temp is it getting to while gaming? from bios/uefi

85C is getting too hot for a GPU. Put a custom fan profile in Afterburner so the GPU stay cooler.

This is i believe a recent issue as i have not come across this particular problem before i would say it started with the 14. drivers but i have done clean installs ..over other drivers...used driver cleaners..and im very sure its not the crossfire...even with only one card my fps reaches about 107 106 in furmark or afterburner so or crossfire never really works as it should or they are overheating but i have not had this prob before my cpu goes to about 40 something if i am not mistaken Intel Core i7-3770K (3.5GHz, 8M Cache, 8x Cores) Overclocked to 4.6GHz Per Core
