Hello people,

So a few days ago my computer suddenly restarted. And since then it has gotten worse. The computer wont boot up now and keeps restarting faster and faster, i cant even get into safe mode. Im not much of an computer genius so i would be very happy if someone could explain the options i have and in which order i should perform them. Maybe i have a virus? i dont know.

Thanks in advance,

1. Take it out of the other pc's case
2. unplug any cables connected to the (potentially) bad PSU
3. Attach the cables from the good PSU to the pc that is not working. There should be at least two connectors on your motherboard: a 4pin one and a 24pin one, as well as those attatched to drives, GPUS etc.
4. Plug in the good PSU, and see if the system runs

You make it sound really simple :). I always thought it was way more complicated than this. Is this suited for beginners like me aswell? And i read somewhere its kind of dangerous to be working with PSU is this true?

As long as you make sure everything is unplugged before you start, you should be fine :)
