So I'm going to change my CPU from Core 2 Duo E4600 to Core 2 Quad Q6600, and my current VGA is Zotac GTX 750, I'm afraid my PSU can't handle after I changed to Q6600
So I want to change the PSU and i found this PSU : Zalman LE-400 400W
Will it fit my case ?

Solution
Yes it will fit and it will work. You will have to manually bend a retaining tab inside the case and you will be able to use only three of the mounting screws. This is ok.

Dell utilizes a tab as part of their PSU fastening system and this will interfere with your new non-Dell replacement PSU. Just bend this tab out of the way. This is how I did it.

Dell mini tower PSUs are proprietary along with the motherboard connections. So basically you would need a new case and motherboard to do the upgrade.

The 745 im looking at looks like this.

Dell hasn't used proprietary PSU's in the Optiplex in over 10 years. Most any standard size PSU will fit, including the Zalman. The only problem is mounting, as the 745 has a BTX case. I've seen people successfully get one to fit by mounting it upside down in the case.
