I leave my PC idle and nothing shows on screen

Like I said above sometimes I leave my PC idle and sometimes it will stay on but when I click my mouse, move it, and push buttons on my keyboard. For stuff to show back up it requires a restart which gets annoying.

Does any lights go out or start to blink.

Could the system be going to sleep/hibernate on you.

Please check Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound - > Power Options.

You can adjust when the screen is shut off and if the system goes to speed or hibernate.

Select Change plan settings for the current power plan and then select Change advanced power settings if you want to see all the option. Do not chance things you are not sure about.
