Hello all! Now, I believe I have a tricky one for you wizards.

I built my PC a while ago, running with a Intel core i5-4670k and a Nvidia GTX 770 (Gigabyte factory overclock 4gb variant). I built my machine to run games nicely, and it did, until yesterday.

Now to the problem. Every time I launch a game, it gets through all of the loading windows, until I hit an interactable menu. After I get to one, the screen turns black, and then I get a floating message of "Invalid Format". I've tried launching games through Steam and Origin.

I've spent the past 12 hours looking through forums, and many people have uncounted the same message for specific games, but this occurs with all of mine. Having said that, I have attempted to apply their fixes to no avail.

I believe I updated my graphics card 2-3 days ago, and I'm currently sitting on the GeForce 344.11 driver. I'm not sure when I updated the driver, although it was released mid September.

I have tried to Restore my PC to an earlier date, Change the Resolution on my PC settings, Change the aspect ratios on my television itself, changed the HDMI cable and even the TVs itself, both running the same resolution of 1366x768, both able to be used as my monitor, as i switch between them from time to time (Take the PC upstairs or downstairs, etc). I don't know what else to try.

I'm at my wits end, and I don't have the money to spend $100+ for a glorified keyboard jockey in a shop to fix a problem if it has an answer that the internet can give.
I desperately need help. Cheers guys.

I've changed TVs and cables. I'm pretty sure there is some sort of communication issue from inside the PC.

My screen res is 1366x768, and 16:9 aspect ratio is for 1080p monitors, Which my TV is not. But i'll try something.

I have fixed the issue. Some settings were automatically changed with my graphics settings. Because I have an Nvidia card, I went into the Nvidia control panel, and under the "Adjust desktop size and position" tab, changed the scaling mode to no scaling, instead of the pre-selected aspect ratio. I also advise that you check the box for "Override the scaling mode set by games and programs", and then change to the appropriate resolution in Windows Control Panel.
Cheers for the help guys, I knew it would be an easy fix.
I hope other people see this thread if they have the same problem.
I'm out, ArmA time for me. <3
