Hi, i have Q6600, Geforce GTX 560, 2GB RAM DDR2,800,PSU 550W

when i overclock procesor 2.4GHZ > 3.2ghz and higher, i get BSOD in windows > STOP 0x0000124

Core TEMP: 47-55C
in 3.1Ghz is procesor STABLE !!! but when i set to 3.2ghz = i get bsod 124 with blue screen....
(i changing GHZ by CPU FSB FREQUENCY)

My setting in BIOS:

CPU VOLTAGE: 1.4000V, when i set higher i get WARINING RED COLOR on VOLTAGE.......
MEMORY RATIO: 1:1
CPU RATIO: 9
PCIE: 100

what now? Thanks :)

That isn't bad for a Q6600, depends on the stepping a lot of times how high you can go with a lower voltage.

If you aren't intending to keep this for very long, go higher on the core voltage. If you want longevity, back the voltage down until it is stable at 3.0Ghz.

I know your troubles, I had a Pentium D I overclocked to 4Ghz (required 1.5Vcore) but I couldn't get it past 4.2Ghz and 4.1Ghz required a way to much voltage. even if I set it to 1.56 vcore it wouldn't go past 4.2ghz.

that's how cpus are, you can push them only in certain ways.

Also, disable the c1 states and speedstep if they are on.

What's your motherboard's model? Only reason I was able to push my Pentium D to 4.0ghz is because the mobo I am using used to be $400.
