Hello forum,

I'm interested in buying a CPU cooler for the 8350. I hear the chip runs VERY hot and I do plan on overclocking it to about 4.4 to 4.5ghz. Is there anything good for around the $75 range that can keep it from damaging temperatures under full load? Thank you.

Lucky you, there are some good decent on top-tier air-coolers going on currently:

This last one may not perform as good, since it is "only" a single-tower cooler, but it should still do the job - it is cheaper as well:

Just make sure you have a stalwart motherboard, and watch the case size, when installing coolers.

My FX-8320 was able to reach 4.4 GHz with a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO. It only costs around $30-$35. Considering that it generally runs hotter than an FX-8350, you should easily be able to hit that frequency with the FX-8350.

But... It might be a good idea to install a small fan on the back of the motherboard to keep things cooler. I used the stock fan that came with the CPU.
