Ive been using my system for a while now to play games and ive found the way to have a flawless lag free experience and extremely high FPS is to turn that resolution down and turn the AA up..

im using a very very big tv flatscreen with a maximum vga resolution of 1024x768 with my system i can get 60-70fps constantly sometimes increasing to 200fps on ultra settings for any game i choose.. by using this type of monitor and turning the AA up the graphics are big, crisp and clear, full of detail and most of all perfectly smooth..

ive read a lot of people struggling, maybe you could try this method and have a better gaming experience

Most people use 60hz monitors, so 200fps doesn't help most people.

I understand what you're saying. More FPS = better.

This isn't always the case though. I will take 60-70FPS (vsync enabled) over 200FPS because my monitor is only 60hz.

So in my case I'd sacrifice resolution and AA for more FPS that I can't see.

I prefer 60-70FPS because I can use that additional power to up the resolution and AA.

The bigger the resolution gets, the decrease in fps you'll face. Some scenes in games would give you high fps because it doesn't demand much gpu power but in some scenes there would a drop in fps as gpu power is strongly used. AA as you mentioned, it increases the details of the gaming experience allowing you to enjoy gaming at a better realistic feeling. AA also eliminates all the rough edges in the games and you'll experience things like clouds, smokes and even a realistic sky view.
Hopefully all your problems are solved :)
