GTX 780 or (TI) VS GTX970

okay so I need to know what is a better choice to upgrade for performance quality and will one of these be a good upgrade that will last a few years. Games I will be playing: Arma 3 and Battlefield

The Power supply I might be upgrading to is a 750W EVGA Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply.

I would get the 970 over the 780 or 780 ti and never look back. The 900 series cards have newer technology that is more power efficient, quieter, and runs lower temperatures than the 700 series cards do.

GTX 970 has a good price and outperforms GTX 780 . Moreover it has 4GB VRAM . Ready for future games

Price/performance I would definitely go with the 970.

Gaming at 1080p, the 780ti gives you the best performance, but the 970 is the best performance per dollar in my opinion. You may want to look at the 980 though. It gives you ~10% better performance then the 780 ti at 1080p and it sips power and stays much cooler.
