LI can go online & open Ebay Home page but when I go to sign in, I get a prompt that says internet explorer cannot open this page. Looking for a solution

if you are able to go the main page of the site. It is very likely a cached page sitting in your browser history. This will make it look like you have internet connection when in reality you don't. Try a couple of things:

1. Go to a random website (preferably a known safe site) that you have not been to. Basically you want to check if you have a connection by trying to load a page that is likely not saved in your web history already.

2. If #1 does not work you don't have a network connection. In internet explorer one thing to check is to make sure you do not have "work offline" option checked. This is going to be under the file menu. If you do not see the file menu on top of the page its most likely hidden, to display it press the...

2. If #1 does not work you don't have a network connection. In internet explorer one thing to check is to make sure you do not have "work offline" option checked. This is going to be under the file menu. If you do not see the file menu on top of the page its most likely hidden, to display it press the "alt" button your keyboard and menus will appear, from there go to file and ceck to see if the "work offline" option is checked or not (note you do NOT want a check mark next to this option).

If you still do not have internet connection come back with the your findings thus far and we will go from there.
