40" Samsung Smart TV 4K

$900

Dell U2713HM

$800

The monitor will be powered by SLI GTX 970s and will be used for gaming, watching movies, Netflix, some photo editing, and internet research. I have the space to plant the TV a few feet back also. If I do go with the TV, I will maybe buy a cable box in a few months. I have a 23" 1080p monitor for my secondary.

Yeah, I'm still trying to figure out if I want a 144Hz 2560x1440 with g-sync, or make the jump the 4K now, and buy new GPUs at a later date. Can always run games at 1080 and it should look pretty good on a 4K screen.

Planning a second GTX980 either way, but it is a serious amount of money there.

Yes. Good luck finding an HDMI2.0 monitor, the GPUs just came out a few weeks ago that support it.

There are also a few hacks you can do to get HDMI 1.4 to do it, but it doesn't always work.
