Hello there, i didnt knew where to post this since i didnt see a power supply forum, ok, i wanna upgrade to this : Intel core I7 4790k, Kit Dual Channel Corsair 16GB (2 x 8GB), DDR3, 1866MHz, Radiator Vengeance, motherboard MSI Z97 PC Mate, Socket 1150 and GPU Gigabyte Radeon R9 270x 2Gb oc windforce x3, i have a power supply of 500 watts.. do i need to upgrade that too? or it will handle all these new components? and if i do need to upgrade, then what PSU shuold i take since i am planning to upgrade my GPU as well after aout one year or too, depends if it will still be able to manage the new games, but i am planning to upgrade after a while the gpu too, to somethink like Nvidia GeForce Gtx 780 TI 3gb windforce x3 and i heard that it consumes about 400 watts.. is that real? then what PSU should i take? with how much watts? Thanks alot for you help guys...

You're fine with 500w. Depending if its a quality psu or not. And the trend being followed is not more power through more wattage use but to be more efficient. Take a look at maxwell. (Of course you can waste a lot of energy there too by pulling up the target limit)
