What do I need in msconfig?

Long story short, my (new) computer was <mod edit> up and freezing, but I think I have it fixed. In the process, I was told to disable most things in msconfig services section. I'm wondering now that I think it's fixed, what do I really need in msconfig? Currently everything seems to be running fine, but I know that there are some important things in there that should be running. Should I just re-enable everything like it was before?

if you have a lot of time and patience, you could attempt to enable the services one by one and determine which one is causing your computer to have problems.

If not, you could try a clean installation of Windows to completely fix the problem.

On the other hand, if you don't see any real problem with the way your computer is performing right now, there shouldn't be a reason to enable all those extra services.

I'm not sure if it was one of those services causing the problem or not, we just tried disabling them to see. The way I see it, I have a brand new computer (not even in use for over a month) and I want to get the best experience. Currently I'm not having any issues with how it's running currently, but I'm not sure if I will have issues gaming, browsing the internet, watching videos, etc.

I still have no idea what was causing my issue though, and it's kind of bothering me, but it's probably nothing to worry about.

I'm not sure if the services are causing my issue though, I will try re-enabling them and then get back to you if it makes a difference. I would re-install windows, but stupid me lost the install disk.

Alright, I enabled everything in msconfig again and sadly it messed up my computer again. I've narrowed it down to one of the services in msconfig, but I have no clue which. Do you know of a way to check drivers/conflicts? I have a laptop and everything in msconfig is enabled on it and it works fine.

I might just take the time to enable them 5 at a time, restart, enable 5 more, restart, etc. until I find the group causing the issue, and then test each one of those, and then find my culprit.
