Hey guys I am upgrading a lot of my components soon for gaming/worksation. I will put in two gtx980s and a I7 5930K. I am also putting in a Rampage V Extreme for the features however I want to have a CPU loop with some nice Mayhems UV Green coolant but I am not sure if it will look good in my system. Also I have a few more questions. What does the UV green coolant look like in red tubing and how can I have an on/off switch for bitfenix alchemy led strips. Finally what are some uv led strips and will my system look good?

Looks are really based on opinion. You should start with a color combination theme and then work from there. What kind of theme are you looking for? The Rampage boards and all red/black so that pretty much limits you to red/black if you want to match. You could also had another neutral color, but green may not look to great. Green coolant in red tubing, i would suppose would look yellow lol. I typically use clear tubing if you want to see the liquid and have it react to UV. If you're concerned with a clean look, then just use solid color tubing with clear liquid.

There's also a balance between performance and aesthetics typically. For instance, you could get the ASUS x99 DELUXE instead and have a lot more options for your theme.

I purchased the Z97 ASUS board and added some gold heatsink Memory and a black/gold highlighted LianLi case for instance.

Eye of the beholder on looks. Not sure I would go with black/red motherboard with green coolant. I don't imagine the slight red tinting of translucent tubes would do a lot to the green inside of them. Might be a neat contrast on the edges though.

Are you adding the GPUs to the loop as well? If not, then the GeForce logos on reference cards are also green, so there is that.

If you have a red/black motherboard and want some nice colored coolant. Mayhems makes some REALLY nice red coolant (Mayhems Pastel Red) that I'm sure would look amazing. Can you possibly post pics of your build?

I really like having a bright pc that will attract people. I like both the colours red and green as well as black and think the green will complement the gtx 980 symbol

I hear the any red coolant has a tendency to gunk up in systems and I do not have pictures because I have not started to upgrade but the case is a 750d with a gtx 980 and a rampage v

I personally wouldn't go with the red/green tubing/coolant. You'll probably get some weird purple color. Post pics of your build please

Thanks I wanted to know because if I run it without the led strip I want it to still look good. What tubing would you recommend?
