My pc contains a xfx ati readeon 6950 2gb gddr5 graphics card, amd phenom x6 1060t processor, psu xfx 600 watt, asus motherboard.I had been using this for more than 3 years. Now I am having over heating issues when playing high graphics games like watch dogs,AC black flag etc .After 30 mins of playing the pc hangs and the restart button doesn't even work.I have to turn off the coumputer untill it gets a little bit cool else it dosn't even start.I don't have any kind of custom cooling system installed in my cpu.Just 4 numbers of low speed fans which comes with cabinet.Suggest me any kind of cooling system/water colling system that saves my cpu from getting over heated.Thanks.

Download an app like MSI Afterburner, and let it run while the system is under load (one of the games that crashes it). Make sure you go into the options and ensure GPU and CPU Temp monitoring are enabled. It may not be heat related.

As far as upgrade options, we need to know the model of your case and what coolers you're using now.

Yeah, those temps are fine. I don't think heat is your issue.

What's the exact model of your Power Supply? Did you buy it used? That would be my next candidate.

Is your CPU or GPU overclocked? Try undoing that for a while if they are.

Also, if you haven't tried these:

1. Re-download the LATEST driver from AMD's website, and select a "clean install" when the check box is displayed.

2. Blast out the interior of the case with some compressed air. Wipe down excess dust.

3. Check if your PSU fan is spinning, the PSU connections are tight, and/or there are any other abnormalities with the PSU.

They make more than one. :p

XFX usually makes quality PSUs these days, but some models are better than others. It's 3 years old, and based on the symptoms, I'd wager the PSU is the issue.

There's a few things we can try to rule out first though.

I have Asus M4A88TD-M EVO model motherboard which has an amd 880g chipset.I forgot the exact model num/name of my Psu unit, its 600watt xfx made,i brought it new on mid 2011(Year).My cpu temp shows 38.c to 40.c when pc is in idle mode also & gpu temp 47.c stable in idle mode, fan speed 30%.My graphics card is not overcloked. Its on factory settings for the past 3 years. The psu fan is moving perfectly, currently no abnormalities with the psu.Today i did one thing which worked for me,yesterday my pc getting hang after 10 - 15 mins, not that i am playing any game or watching hd quality movies.Today i opened up the case and put the ram in another slot(I have corsair 4gb DDR3 ram) i mean changed the ram from its former slot to a new slot.It worked, computer running now,the temparature remains same.Is there any permanent solution for the problems i am facing. If that is the issuse what tiny voices say can effect the ram?

Actually, swapping RAM in and out of slots and is troubleshooting 101. Our bad? :)

Are you saying you have 2x2GB of RAM, or 1 4GB stick? If you have 2x2GB, refer to your mobo manual (you can google it if you lost it), for the placement options. Usually they're color coded (2 blue slots go together, 2 black slots go together).

If it's just 1 4GB stick, keep in the slot that's working! That's probably you're issue there. Let us know if it happens again.

Only permanent solution, other than avoiding the slots that cause crashes, would be to buy a new mobo.
