New motherboard. New windows?

Hi,
I have just had to replace my motherboard as my old one broke, so does this mean I have to buy windows 7 again. I am unable to check it yet as my wireless card is on it's way.

For a broken motherboard and replacement, generally no. Even if it is an OEM install.

You will probably hae to call and activate via the phone robot, or maybe call and talk to a human.

You're doing a clean install, right? That is generally recommended for a new motherboard.
Your license won't be 'invalid', just that it possibly/probably won't activate automatically.

You have nothing to lose by trying. If it works, it works. If it doesn't, then you go buy a new one.

Generally MS is pretty lenient about license reuse when replacing a broken motherboard. But the ultimate decision is theirs.

And why wouldn't you try anyways - it doesn't cost anything and could save you quite a bit.
