Hey Everyone,

I wanted to ask if upgrading my RAM from 8GB 1333 MHZ vs 8GB 1600 MHZ it's worth it. Or perhaps 16 GB would be the only better choice. If so, I know that some hardware would need to be updated in the process(Although I am in no condition for time being to do so). What suggestions could you give me? My current specs are:

Graphics

CardNVIDIA GeForce GTX 770
Vendor EVGA Corporation# of cards1SLI / CrossFireOffMemory 2,048 MB

Memory bus clock1,753 MHz

PROCESSOR

Maximum turbo core clock3,800 MHzPhysical / logical processors 1 / 6# of cores6PackageAM3+Manufacturing process32 nmTDP95 W

GENERAL

Operating system 64-bit Windows 7 (6.1.7600)

POWER

Cooler Master 750W.

I've decided for the time being to stick with my gtx 770 and squeeze it as much as I can, holding off any upgrades.

Thanks for your time.

Upgrading your memory from 1333MHz to 1600MHz is not going to be noticeable in any real world sense. You may only see a slight increase in benchmarks, but even then it will be minimal. It's still a pretty solid rig the way it is set up currently. If you want to see the biggest performance increase per dollar to your rig, buy an SSD and put the OS on it. That will net you more performance gain than any other single upgrade to that machine.
