Hi, i've a problem with my wireless router (model TP-LINK TL-WR541G/ TL-WR542G). When i try to play a multiplayer game with gameranger (joining or hosting), the program notices me this message:

PORT-RESTRICTED CONE NAT ROUTER

Your internet connection is behind a Port-Restricted cone NAT router that may prevent you from connecting to some players in peer peer games.

I tried to do portfowarding for 16000 port on my router but it didn't work. UPnP is enabled. Sometimes my name appears written in italic style to the others players: in this case we can't play toghether. I really want to solve this problem, please help me. Thanks

Open a command prompt on the pc you game on and run ipconfig to get your ip address and write it down.
Next, in the router, you need to set the public and the private UDP port to 16000 for start and end.
For the destination IP , set that to the numbers you just wrote down.

Public and private port? You mean for set gameranger action range? I've already done this process, but it doesn't work. I've set 16000-16000 UDP!

Another strange thing is that, when gameranger is running, it doesn't appear on the UPnP list of running application. UPnP is enabled and, for example, uTorrent ports are automatically opened when I use it! Router shows that, but not gameranger.

I used GameRanger with another connection, with another router (Thomson, i can't remember the model). In that case I did portfowarding (the user interface of the Thomson router was much better and more immediate than TP-LINK router). And it worked! The message didn't appear. What could be the problem? A problem with the connection or the router settings?
