I have had a really nice gaming PC for over a year now. I always get around 60 fps on most of my games on max settings. Now whenever I try to play a game (Battlefield 4, Payday 2, Need for Speed Rivals) I am getting only 10-20 fps even on the lowest settings! I have checked the temps while i'm playing(all fine)I have Defragged my HDD(no help) And I have run multiple system scans and have not found any malware/viruses. My HDD still has over 250 GB of storage so that couldn't be it. Can anyone help me? Also, I pre-ordered Far Cry 4 for the PC, and I'm hoping this is answered in time, thanks!

No I've run a couple gpu stress tests and they all turned out with about the same scores as when I got it

There wouldn't be a problem with the CPU unless it was faulty by some chance which is unlikely. I would check to make sure the temperatures are good. Otherwise, I would completely reinstall Windows and install the latest stable drivers for all your components.

Well first of all, the temps on my cpu are fine, and all 4 cores seem to be working fine so, is my computer possessed by some scary computer demon that has never been seen before? Or what is going on?

I would much rather keep the discussion on 1 site, but if worst comes to worst, I will add it there. So here is a few things I forgot to add. First of all, when I cleaned my cpu for the install of it, I used 70% iso alcohol instead of 99% or whatever it was. Second, I have not ever opened up my PC and cleaned it. I never thought that I would need to because all of my temps are fine, but could either of those things have anything to do with it?

Ok I just want to clarify, is a 6.3 out of 7.9 a good benchmark score for my specs?

UPDATE: I just noticed while looking at my gpuz when playing, my gpu load is staying at 98-99% the whole time! Does that mean my graphics card is failing? I am almost 99% sure that the problem is the card now

I use both speedfan and gpu-z just to make sure and yes my idiotic self just pressed best answer by accident again :/
