Recently I have build my parents a office pc and I decided to use their old hard drive on it to save money so I reinstalled windows 7 on the hard drive, it was going well until it said that it'll need to restart the computer to continue installation. However once I click ok, the screen goes black but the power is still on... The fans are spinning and everything, it stays like that forever, I left it on over night just incase but no sign. I realised that the computer will always do that when told to restart. Please help, anything will be grateful, thanks!

After an auto-restart that occurs *after* copying all the installation files, at some point you will need to remove your Win7 CD, and set your BIOS to now boot from the appropriate SATA (or IDE drive, depending on the computer's age)

WHat type of processor, mb, video card, etc., is this build using?

Hi, The installation is at a point where it is asked for the first restart (Not when you take the CD out) when the screen just goes black. after several times of force shut downs, the windows installation says that it has an unexpected error and will restart installation after a computer restart.... what do i do now ?:(
