Hi all! Thanks for reading my post and for any assistance you may be able to provide. I've been having odd little graphics problems that seem to be cropping up all over the place ever since my motherboard started to go, and have persisted after I got a replacement board from ASUS. I have had my i5-4670k, ASUS z87-plus, and Sapphire 7970 Vapor-X GHz Edition 3gb for a little over a year now, and a month or two ago I got a lot of problems with my motherboard, mostly relating to RAM, which led to it being replaced. I hoped that little graphics errors such as text disappearing in word processors or web browsers and odd blocks of blue cropping up all over the place were a result of my motherboard, but I'm resigned to think it's my graphics. I have done several clean installs of Windows, but to no avail. Does anyone have any insight or advice? I can try to provide any other information. A thing I forgot to mention is that I've also started to get a lot of screen tearing in several video games, but that may be just the games I've been playing (Dayz and Rome 2 I know have always had graphics issues).

Thank you for any help you can provide.

Edit: I do have 2 monitors but the problems persist on either monitor.

It sounds like the broken MOBO might have negatively effected your graphics card.
The problem is not your current motherboard, your operating system, your ram, or your CPU. That means that it could be your PSU not getting enough power to your GPU or your GPU itself is having issues.

A bios update to the most recent version has at the very least made the problem more bearable, or at least in the few minutes since I've done it I haven't noticed the problem as much. I do have an old PSU, but has been very reliable so far *knocks on wood*. To me it seems that the GPU is really the only option, which is very unfortunate, seeing as I just waited a month for my motherboard... Any ideas on replacement programs or who I should contact... Sapphire?

Thanks for all your help, unfortunate as this may be.

Update: Removed my GPU and everything seems to be running fine. Will contact Sapphire because the card is still under warranty.

Update 2: RMA'd the card. Running fine now. Sapphire RMA process wasn't bad at all, shipped the card to the provided address and received a refurbished 7970 a couple weeks later
