Hi. today while watching youtube my screen suddenly went black. The computer restarted and went to the lockscreen. While typing my password suddenly the screen went black again. Now everytime i boot it, it goes black after a short period of time.
Lately my screen has gone black for a split second and a windows message popping up saying that the graphics drivers has crashed and been restarted, so i thought that it was just the drivers that were faulty. I went to safe mode (which works fine luckily) and on to the control panel to delete everything nvidia related. This did not work and it still happens.
I then remembered that my motherboard has a intel HD 3000 build in, so i removed my GPU from the computer and plugged my monitor into the onboard graphics, and now it boots up fine.
Now my question is, what is causing this? Is the GPU faulty, since it did not work uninstalling the drivers?
I googled the issue and many people wrote about how PSU's loose power after some years, but i have a 850 watt PSU, so i don't think that is the issue, also since i have no trouble with the onboard GPU.
Specs:
Intel i7 2600k
12 gb ram
Zotac geforce gtx 670
XFX Pro 850w PSU
Hope some of you have a bright idea
