... But I just would like you guys to review or give your opinions on it or whatever, it's my first build and I would like to be 100% positive about everything!

Also, there are no gtx 970s available anywhere. The cheapest MSI 970 is from that merchant^ and it's the only item I'm getting from them, can I just order everything else and try the build without the GPU and slot it in later? Thanks.

At the price you are paying for the 970 you might as well get a 290x or gtx 780. At it's launch price of $330 it was a good deal but at $400 it's not really worth it.

Keep in mind I live in Canada, and that seems to be the standard price for us here. On PCPartPicker for the same card, switching to United States filter gets the price to $335. If I'm mistaken and we're gettin' shafted in the north then maybe that will be a smarter option.

Yeah I could tell, all of your parts are from Canadian companies. Usually the 970 is recommended because it's the best value wise. That's only for america so if you can find a better deal on a R9 290, R9 290x, or GTX 780 I would take it.

Here's a card that's about equal for cheaper.
