My question is that do I NEED a nVidia GPU to play ME2? (Mass Effect 2) Because I have a Radeon HD 7730 1GB. I will be switching to a GTX card later on but I just want to know if I NEED a nVidia card to play ME2.
No you don't need an Nvidia card to play ME2. Phys X will be loaded onto your CPU instead of on your graphics card. Nvidia cards have "PhysX" to relieve the CPU from the load. I've played ME2 on my old AMD GPU so you'll be fine.

Well to begin with ME did not use GPU physx. Even on nvidia system physx calculation will still done on CPU for ME. Only a few games did use GPU physx. Most people have this misconception that game using physx mandates nvidia GPU or without nvidia GPU the performance will suffer because the calculation was done by CPU.
