Although i "do not" need a new psu looking at the recommended power for my parts and with the use of cooler masters psu calculator i wonder if it would be good to upgrade. I have a i7 4790k with no oc yet and 2 windforce r9 290's.i have a 750 watt power supply what is enough but my worry is the bronze efficacy is less stable of a current and if a spike happens at a low poing of the current something could go wrong. im thinking of getting around a 800 watt gold psu i dont know what type yet just because i have a bit of over head and expandablity for hopefully watercooling this spring when im back working (high school student with no expenses so i work to afford computer parts haha!) whats your thoughts on a new psu, is it needed sooner or later.

I'd strongly advise a 850W at the least, 1kW recommended, 750W is cutting it too close, no matter how high quality it is. 850W EVGA B2 or 1kW B2 are much better choices. Gold and Bronze will make a slight difference as Gold will take less current from the socket vs Bronze, which may become noticible for such high power drawing build in the long run, quality remains more or less the same.

I think it should be fine but if you are worried you could always drop your cpu and gpu power draw it wont perform at its best but you will at least know it will be more stable.
or you could look for a power meter and see how much your system takes at load and see if its more than the average wattage of your psu.

Knowing the CX series having high failure rate on its low quality capacitors I suggest looking at a good 850watt unit.
Great deal if you can deal with the rebate http://pcpartpicker.com/part/rosewill-power-supply-capstone1000m
Probably the current best unit in that size http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-220g20850xr
