Trying to build my first gaming pc; trying to keep my budget at $600
CPU - Intel® Pentium® Unlocked G3258
motherboard - MSI Z97 Guard Pro ATX MB
cooler(cpu.MB.cooler bundle- $200)
ram-G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB-$70
case - Corsair SPEC-01-$50
power supply-Corsair CX 430W-$30
Graphics card-Asus Radeon R9 270-$145
hardrive- 1tb-$55
optical drive- $20

I would greatly appreciate any advice anybody have to give. I am hoping to be able to play witcher 3. I have read great ability to overclock the G3258. Does anybody think it will be able to handle future games for the next 2 years or will I need a i5? I also wanted to learn about overclocking which is also one of the reasons for choosing the g3258.
Thank you in advance

Well if it is the US, here is the build I would suggest. It comes out to $618.90 including shipping. There are $90 worth of mail-in rebates. So if all of them come through, that would bring the final price to $529.90. The 6300 has very good overclocking capabilities, and quite a bit better performance than the G3258. I also was able to fit a much better PSU, an R9 280, and 2133MHz ram.

This is not a bad gaming build. Its worth to learn about overclocking and this rig could play witcher 3 all right. That been said, this is a far stronger gaming build:
