I've got a brand new laptop. It came without OS. When I was installing Win 8.1 a accidentally deleted system reserved partition. And the only one left became raw. Now I can't install the OS. It says something like "can't create a new partition". Thanks for help

well telling him to delete all partitions and whatnot sounds good but he probably doesn' tknow how to do that to be honest. so i tried to find a step by step guide to clearing out your partitions and reformatting the drive for installation of windows 8. here's what i found

oh and are you using a windows 8 cd or a usb drive? then this should be of help. when you select the Custom Installation method it will give you options to delete previous partitions, which i think you should. and then make a new partition for which to format and install windows 8 onto

http://pcsupport.about.com/od/windows-8/ss/windows-8-clean-install-part-1_9.htm#step-heading

reason being is that i dont think we'll know for sure what went wrong with your partitions but good rule of thumb is to start over with them instead of trying to fix them.

if above method isn't helpful enough you did mention that it's a brand new laptop and that it had a system partition on it perviously. if you call the manufacture i'm sure they will send out a disk to redo the harddrive to it's former state if you really wanna go there. of course it'll cost but it's not much. but read through the instructions on the above method first before you attempt them and then give it a try. should work as long as you are installing windows 8 from a usb key or a CD

I have already done that. I deleted all the partitions, create and then format a new one, but when I click next it says "We couldn't create a new partition or locate an existing one. For more information, see the Setup files.
I'm using USB drive.
