Hi guys. I recently re-installed my OS onto a new SSD and have all my files/porgrams on a Raid 10 array. Most things are running smoothly but each restart/shutdown windows decides to install 167 updates/changes. After it has done this and boots back up it shows a screen saying 'Configuring updates: 0%'
It sits there for a while not changing then the message changes to: 'Failure configuring windows updates. Reverting changes.'

Not only does this process take FOREVER to complete it is also worrying that the system isn't updating properly.

Anyone have any ideas on a solution/reasons why it is doing this?

Thanks

Also looked in that file, just thousands of lines of text all saying:

- Security Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2993651) - Security Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2712808) - Update for Windows 7 for x64-ba, etc

A bit more info: Looked in update history to see the list of 'security updates' as failed, clicked 'details' and it gives me an Error code: 800705B4
Windows help says run the trouble shooter, try doing that and trouble shooter says 'an unexpected problem has occured, trouble shooter cannot continue.' and that's that. No idea why touble shooter won't work, doesn't work for anything else either.
