Hello,

The real question which you should ask is - what is the max memory your laptop supports? If it is above 4GB, then does it take 4GB modules or 8GB modules? The number of slots etc. Could you let me know your laptop model number?

If your laptop supports upto 16GB and has two slots, then go with a single 8GB module.... it would run with less strain to the processor unlike the 4GB pair. Some are arguing the Dual channel speed vs single channel, on paper they look so good but in reality one can hardly notice that. Looking forward to the reply.

I agree. Doing so will allow dual channeling which will increase speed, not that it will be noticed. . .
