I know this is rude but I'm in quite a pinch here! My mobo's the ASUS M4N68T-M V2 which has the ASUS core unlocker in it's BIOS.

I just installed Windows 7 and decided to check if I could unlock my AMD Sempron 140 processor since it seemed like it'll be easy with my mobo at my disposal. I was wrong.

After I enabled the ASUS core unlocker in the BIOS, I restarted my computer hoping that the unlocked core would not screw itself up while booting.

I didn't even get to the boot screen. The monitor had no display but the motherboard was powered on, lights and all. I've tried restarting numerous times but with no luck.

My friend who sold me the motherboard and the processor told me that he unlocked it before but had to clear the BIOS after he screwed up overclocking.

What should I do? Is this an effect of the unlocked core? I tried searching online for a solution but turned up with nothing. I just want to return my processor to it's original single core but with the monitor not showing anything, I can't access even the BIOS to disable the core unlocker.

What can I do to return my computer back to working state? Many thanks to anyone willing to reply!

Solution
You have to clear the cmos. Remove the battery from the motherboard and unplug power from the power supply. Wait about a minute and put the battery back in and plug your power cord back in. Your PC should boot now.
