Keeping loose hard drive in with a piece of paper?

Solution

Hey tommybc,

What is the reason that causes this? It is highly recommended that the drive is firmly attached to the SATA port as otherwise it can cause sudden drive failure and permanent data loss.
HDDs do generate heat and sometimes the temps are pretty high. I wouldn't advise using easily-ignited materials. I would suggest go to a technician or get a mounting...

Just that when carrying the laptop around it loosens out of the port and whenever that happens it shuts down and I have to unscrew it and push it back into the port, but i will get a bracket for it
