Hello guys,

I am in the market for building a new PC but I am completely out of date on technology. My last PC was made 5-6 yrs ago so I have a lot of research to do. Hoping for a quick turnaround with your help. I want to keep my case and psu from the old PC on the new build, as they cost a lot at the time of the purchase and new components would mean a real stretch to my budget- currently, Antec P182 & Corsair HX 520W. My budget is $850.00 (around 3000 RON in Romanian currency) and this should cover the MB, Processor, Video Card and RAM. If possible, maybe a new HDD as well, but that falls in priority ofc. I do not intend to overclock anything but I want to be able to run any game on ultra settings. I have a full-hd monitor (Dell U2312HM) and the peripherals. I am thinking an intel i5 as I've seen quite a good deal at one of the local merchants (http://www.altex.ro/procesor-intel-core-i5-4460-bx80646i54460-3-2ghz-6mb-socket-1150) on a Gigabyte/Asus MB (I will not change the PC for the next 4-5 years so better to stick with quality products). For the video card, I know Nvidia provides more stability (drivers-wise etc), but I am looking for something I can afford and wish to still be able to play most recent games in the future, so I am not ruling AMD out. It may be difficult to shop from outside Romania but do recommend what you deem the best deal for the money and I would try to match it with the local stores (I had a good experience with these if anyone is curious to take a look: www.pcgarage.ro, www.altex.ro).

Thank you!

This is slightly over your budget but it suits your needs perfectly with a solid i5 processor in a H97 Motherboard which means that you can even upgrade the processor as the next Intel CPUs will be supported on the H97 LGA 1150 Socket.

The Processor is complemented with a Higher- mid range card that will max most current gen games at 1080p with Ultra Quality , SSD was a must have as its lightning fast which is great for reducing loading and boot up times .

8gb of Ram has become the Standard today so that was my choice , Feel free to ask any questions.

Processor : Intel I5-4460

Motherboard : GIGABYTE GA-H97-HD3

I will be changing the MB and consequently the HDD as well, so SATA/IDE will not be an issue. I worry more about the PSU being able to sustain the new video card, being a 520W (although corsair).

Looking forward to your feedback. Much appreciate the input. Have a great one ;)

Thanks alot for this. I am pretty much set on everything except for the graphics card (SSD is a must but it will have to wait if I need to change the PSU). What worries me is the 2 year warranty as opposed to the 3 year offered by Gigabyte - Asus -MSI. Is any of the Gigabyte - Asus -MSI 3GB equivalent worth buying or does Sapphire outclases them and I should just ignore the reduced warranty? For the PSU I am thinking http://www.pcgarage.ro/surse/seasonic/m12ii-520-evo-edition-bronze-520w/

Sapphire is the best , its like the EVGA from Nvidia .

Me personally I have the same card and I absolutely love it , its just great.

This is a very good PSU that'll be compatible with everything : http://www.pcgarage.ro/surse/evga/supernova-nex600b-bronze/ (Cheap and solid)

Bit more expensive yet still solid in fact very very solid : http://www.pcgarage.ro/surse/antec/high-current-gamer-620w/

Thank you. The EVGA is out of stock but I found it at other retailers. It looks like a busy weekend, testing my new PC :)
