Hey!

My pins on a graphics card are short. I am using a Asus Ndivia GTX 560 and 2 of the pins are short. I noticed this before but everything worked so i didn t worry becouse everything worked but i have got a new power supply and i carried the computer home and the screen didn t turn on. I had this problem once but it was fixed by taking the card out and in.
P.s.s.: I am sure that the cable and the monitor are working.

Thanks
Pete

The 2 shorter contacs are supposed to be like that, they are used to indicate a proper insertion into the slot.
See the 'pinout' table in the wiki page, notice the 'PRSNT1#' etc marked in green.

every card has them like that, for example the Asus 980 strix, (pics at the bottom, click to enlarge)

So your problem has to be something else, maybe they missed a cable somewhere on the mobo or something

The graphic card was not working becouse one of the cables 3x2 was not pluged in correctly. I am writing this from that computer that was not working. Thank you for helping anyways. Now i learned something new... THX a lot...
